En-tsugi is a line of one-of-a-kind art pieces born from yobitsugi — the old Japanese craft of joining shards from different vessels with a seam of gold. On antique Japanese vessels ranging mainly from the Edo to the Shōwa era(18c-early20c), we join fragments — sea glass, sea pottery and more — in gold, and finish some with raden (mother-of-pearl inlay) and maki-e (gold lacquer art), so that the pieces from different times and places meet in a single, unique landscape. Made as objects to be admired, by the Tokyo repair studio RESTAURER (M&I Co., Ltd.).
